I recently stayed at a self-catering cottage in a beautiful location on the Isle of Skye and it was an amazing experience! The cottage was clean and well-maintained, and it had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. It had a fully equipped kitchen, which was perfect for preparing meals during my stay. The location of the cottage was also great, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. It was a peaceful and quiet place to relax and unwind after a long day of work. Additionally, the cottage had a lovely garden where I could sit and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.
While my overall experience at the self-catering cottage was fantastic, there were a couple of minor downsides. the Wi-Fi signal in the cottage was a bit weak and intermittent at times.

We had a fantastic time staying at Tarven Self Catering Cottages. The location was perfect for exploring the Isle of Skye, with easy access to the shopping area and Portree port. The cottage felt like a home away from home, with comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. The kitchen was fully equipped with high-quality utensils, making it easy to prepare meals. The host, Gerry, was very helpful and friendly, providing us with a useful binder of information about the cottage and local attractions. Despite some minor drawbacks like the lack of a bath and milk in the fridge upon arrival, we highly recommend Tarven Self Catering Cottages. it was a wonderful place to stay.

We got excellent value for our money at this charming cottage. The room was cozy and comfortable, with top-quality facilities and a beautiful bathroom with heated floors. The location was perfect for exploring Skye, and the hosts were welcoming, helpful, and attentive without being intrusive.
The breakfast option could be improved with a wider selection of condiments provided, like salt, pepper, and cooking oil.

Friendly and helpful host, spacious self-catering cottage, magnificent continental-style breakfasts, prompt and helpful email communication, great value for money.
A bit of a walk uphill from the main area, limited availability of rooms in peak season.

The cottages were clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay during our trip. We appreciated the modern amenities and the cozy feel of the accommodations. the location was convenient, being close to restaurants and shops. It was easy to walk around and explore the area without having to travel too far. these aspects added to the enjoyable experience of our stay.
We did find that the level of hospitality was lacking. We felt more like guests rather than valued customers, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable at times.

the cottage's beautiful bedroom and creative interior design made us feel at home. We also appreciated the convenience of the nearby grocery store and the guidance provided by the host. Plus, having access to laundry facilities was a bonus.
We did find that the mattress was a little uncomfortable and could have benefited from a mattress topper.

During my recent stay over Christmas, I was impressed with the cleanliness and style of the rooms. The beds were comfortable and the en-suite bathrooms were sparkling clean. the continental breakfast provided exceeded my expectations with a wide variety of choices and the option to serve myself at my own pace. The location of the hotel was also convenient, with beautiful views of the gardens.
One downside of my stay was the limited availability of rooms. As we were a family of four, we had to search for alternative accommodation.
